How do we ensure we’re managing blocks effectively to ensure costs are reduced and budgets are met?

Conduct lighting audits and upgrade to LED where possible.

  • Upgrade lighting systems to operate on timers and sensors to ensure they’re not left on unnecessarily.
  • Turn off heaters – People spend very little time in communal areas so the energy used to heat these areas can reduced whilst energy prices are so irregular.
  • Close windows to reduce heat loss from the building. This will keep apartments warmer too!
  • Negotiate energy contracts – We work with several whole of market brokers to ensure we’re getting the best deals for out blocks!

Some of these options require a small investment in the short term, but will have a large cost saving for the future.
