Anya Mathewson LLB (Hons) FARLA Managing Director

Anya firmly believes that individual customer focus and relentlessly high standards are the key to delivering the best property management service. She’s supported by long-serving, dedicated staff who share her commitment to making Mulberry PM the go-to company for property management needs across Yorkshire and beyond.

Anya is a law graduate with 20 years’ experience in all aspects of the property industry. She took over the company in 2006 and successfully grew its lettings and block management portfolio. In 2020, she made the decision to specialise in property and almshouse management. Mulberry PM continues to go from strength to strength as word spreads about its excellent bespoke service, delivered by a dedicated team which Anya is very proud to lead.

Karen Harrison Director

Following the acquisition of Mulberry by APP Group Holdings Ltd whose other companies include Ashtons Estate Agents, Ashtons Letting & Management and Stays,  Karen is working alongside the management team at Mulberry to further grow and expand the business.  With over 20 years experience in residential lettings and having set up the Ashtons Letting division to become York’s leading letting agency,  attention to detail and high levels of service are paramount to Karen.

Ashtons and Mulberry mirror one another in terms of core values and high client experience and I am very much looking forward to working with the Mulberry team.

Robert Simpson Senior Propery Manager

With over 20 years’ experience managing property in London and abroad, Robert provides high calibre client support with a strong focus on achieving results.

Robert started his career with a prime property developer in London before progressing to work within HNW private family offices.

With detailed technical knowledge and an analytical approach, Robert provides strategic problem solving and project management to some of the larger and more complex properties within our portfolio.

Shabnam Shahid Property Manager

Shabnam is a dedicated property manager with over 15 years of experience in the field with a good understanding of the ever-evolving property management industry and stays ahead of trends to ensure efficient property operations, customer satisfaction, and maximum asset value. Shabnam’s expertise spans tenant relations, maintenance coordination, financial oversight, and regulatory compliance taking huge pride in her ability to adapt to industry changes, implement innovative solutions, and provide top-tier property management services.

Mike Cole Property Manager

Mike makes regular site visits to ensure the residential blocks we manage comply with safety regulations, are clean and in good repair. He works with management committees and contractors to see that facilities are maintained to the highest standards, addressing specific concerns as well as coordinating routine maintenance and larger projects.

It’s satisfying when I’m able to liaise with owners and contractors to resolve any problems in a quick time-scale.

Allyson Bolland Business Services

Allyson is our super-efficient office manager who keeps everything running smoothly so everyone else can focus on providing great service to our clients. She also takes the strain from directors of leasehold management companies by acting as company secretary, dealing with the submissions and requirements of Companies House as well as ensuring that agreed corporate procedures are followed, and any conflicts of interest are avoided.

I love the variety of the job. No two days are the same.

Jayne Johnson Estate Manager - Frank Parkinson Yorkshire Trust

Jayne is the onsite estates manager at Frank Parkinson, a 44 unit Almshouse in we manage Guiseley.

She is on hand to assist in the management of the site. She is passionate about providing the best service for the residents and works with Katie, The Trustees and the residents to do this.

I take great pride in my job and care greatly for the residents at FPYT.

Chloe Perrin Property Manager

Chloe primarily looks after our Almhouses, but is also involved in Block Management. Chloe’s role is to maintain the physical integrity of our properties while nurturing a welcoming and supportive community for our residents. Chloe has previously worked in different property sectors, helping her to see a solution from different angles. Combined with her knowledge and desire to help.

I really enjoy problem solving and get so much satisfaction from being able to help our residents, in any way.

Tracy Struwig Property Administrator / Compliance

Tracy is our super-efficient property compliance administrator who keeps everything running smoothly so that the team can focus on providing a great service to our clients ensuring key dates are meet for renewals of insurances, electrical certificates and other key task. Tracey also provides valuable supporting the property managers in organising AGMs and Fire Risk Assessments.

I enjoy working in the dynamic environment of block management. Every day is different!

Doreen Midgley Finance Manager

I enjoy working within the Finance Team at Mulberry PM, there is always something new to learn, ensuring our suppliers are paid on time and clients kept informed as required.

Jeanie Gilroy Finance Manager

Jeanie is our block management accounts maestro, who makes sure the books balance and everyone’s happy. She’s the person who invoices owners for service charges and ensures contractors are paid for their work. Jeanie, has been with us since 2011, says the best part of her job is the variety of tasks and the great team she works with.

I take pride in ensuring everyone is paid on time and that owners don’t have to worry about the maintenance of anything outside their front door.

Matt Carpenter Finance Manager

With previous experience for a reputable accountancy firm Matt manages the finances of the blocks issuing service charges and ensuring contractors are getting paid. Matt is also rattling through his AAT qualifications with a view to becoming a fully qualified accountant.

In Finance, we work well together to ensure we support our clients, covering all areas of finance in block and almshouse management. Every day is different!

Emily Macdonald Finance Administrator

Emily is our newest member of the team. She is super enthusiastic about starting her Finance Administrator position and is eager to begin a career in finance and is committed to learning the ins and outs of financial administration. She possesses strong organisational skills, demonstrated by effectively managing schedules and providing comprehensive support to individuals in a previous role. Emily enjoys collaborating with others and is dedicated to developing expertise in financial operations and contributing to a positive and efficient team environment.

Woody Top Dog

Woody inspires us all with his endless energy and positive outlook. He’s happy to act as the office therapy dog, making himself readily available for strokes and cuddles, especially if there’s a treat involved. He enjoys greeting visitors to his empire and is always keen to help tidy up after snacks by catching any crumbs.

I am the best-looking member of staff and the most loved.
